FOLLOW THAT FLYING DOVE [1989]

1989 is undoubtedly a unique and different year throughout the 1900s, and yet another in the line of important milestones. It's probably the first and only time in world history such a radical political revolution that took place just then, with the fall of the Berlin Wall, was not the result of any form of armed conflict. This video, made to commemorate the 30th anniversary of this extra ordinary event on November 9th.

9/11 [2001]

This date is likely to be remembered for all future and associated with a new form of malicious and large-scale terrorism on completely innocent people. It's 2001, and apart from all the conspiracy theories that have flourished since then, one might say that the New York event marked the definite end of the 1900s. Indeed a century that both began and ended so hopefully, which contained so many amazing things, but also so much cruelty of hitherto unprecedented kind.

HUMAN RIGHTS! [1968]

The video is taking us back to 1968, one of the most charged years of the 1900s, with all conflicts around the civil rights movement in the United States, apartheid in South Africa, the student revolt in Paris, the ongoing Vietnam War and the Prague spring. It's a year that, no doubt, has left an imprint for all future in many areas.

RED AND BLUE [1953]

And so we're taken back to 1953 when the Cold War between East and West, after suddenly having turned hot three years earlier in Korea, ended with the result of no results. It is something we have to live with still today, and at the same place where the Cold War became the hottest, we can wonder what we really have achieved today.

APOCALYPSE [1945]

This video takes us back to 1945 when the first and only time nuclear weapons were used in war. This apocalyptic event put indeed an end to WW2 but it also meant the beginning of the following Cold War. A reminder of the absurdity that despite being on the edge of disaster, life continues as usual, regardless of this.

NOTHING BUT A WARPLAY [1917]

The video takes us back to 1917 with the ongoing grim and cruel world war. By this time, it led more and more to a society in dissolution with the unexpected Russian Revolution that, somehow, put an end to the old world. The obvious madness in every war with the play that is supposed to trick us into believing all the heroic bullshit.
